The New York Studio

Below are some pictures of our picturesque guitar studio in New York City. We’ve moved around quite a bit since Jose started his company in his living room in 2015, but we’re finally glad to tell you that this is our final destination. With artwork-covered walls this is the home to our inspiration, the birthplace of all your custom guitars and the heart and soul of our #lightuptheworld project, which is lighting up world stages with world-class bands like Coldplay and many more.

The LED Guitars

All of our guitars are made in our studio and have the hand of our master luthier Jose Gallo in them. We mainly have two different categories of guitars, which we break into solid bodies with lights on the rim and clear semi-hollow bodies with the light pointing inward. All of our models are made to order, except for some special releases we make on an occasional basis. They’re all numbered and one-of a kind.

The Players

Throughout the years, we’ve worked with many players form around the world. Some of the biggest names we’ve worked with include Coldplay, Alejadro Sanz, Bibi McGill (Beyocé), Jin Joo Lee (DNCE), Monsieur Periné, Phony PPl, Nombe, and many many more. That’s the beauty of being in New York City.

Neon Room Sessions

Started during the lockdown in 2020, this has been such an amazing and inspiring project looking to take our Gallo Guitars studio to everybody around the world. We’ve used our studio and platform to help bring up and coming artists into the public realm and have them shine their light out to the world.

The Story

This all started as a school project by our Founder and CEO Jose Gallo in 2014. Back at SCAD, Jose obtained BFA degrees in Sculpture and Photography. More than providing an office job to Jose, these were the foundation of his 2D, 3D and 4D skills that brought his vision to become a reality. After finishing college, Jose left Atlanta and headed up North to Boston to work side by side with Berklee students to perfect his art and craft.

After a few years in the North East, Jose’s guitars were picked up by Bibi McGill (Beyoncé) and soon after Jonny Buckland (Coldplay) for the A Head Full Of Dreams Tour in 2017.

Jose moved his studio to New York City in 2018 and continued to grow his repertoire during the following years. As the company grew, Jose moved to a bigger studio to start 2020 and soon after got his art exhibited at The World Trade Center.

Currently, Jose continues to build guitars and works behind the scenes as an art director for tours.
